“As a child of the 70’s I quickly became addicted to junk food. My younger years were filled with strep throat, ear infections, fatigue, hormonal imbalance and insecurity.  I became an emotional eater, the consequences of which left me with migraines, fatigue and insomnia through my early 20’s.  I took more antibiotics, Advil and penicillin than I could shake a stick at."

 

 

Something had to change- and it did! Thank goodness!

“In my early 20’s I found a book called “Food Is Your Best Medicine” by Dr. Henry Bieler. This book quite literally changed my life.  

 

I slowly found my way to better eating, I stopped eating at fast food places and started to learn how to cook. I stopped eating dessert 3 times a day.  I bought a juicer and started juicing what ever green things I could find in those once mysterious sections of the grocery store.   

 

 Exercise, yoga and meditation eventually also became a regular part of my life. I began to understand what was driving my food cravings, and binges.  I sought the help of some amazing people in the wellness field and found my way to health. 

 

It was a long and winding road, and it shaped my life in so many ways. Symptoms cleared up, I had more energy, and the insomnia quickly went away.  I am no longer at the mercy of food and sugar addiction. I turned those bad habits down a notch and it made a huge difference. I’m not perfect- but who needs perfect? I have health, and it came with some foundational adjustments in my lifestyle habits. Making those adjustments have been the best investment in my life that I have ever made.

How my service works

 

Through thoughtful inquiry, we will use the

principles of Functional Medicine,

to understand your health concerns and 

connect the key experiences in your life

that led you where you are today.

​

 

We start with 3 Foundation Sessions to establish

your health history, your goals and create a plan

just for you. After your Foundation Sessions you can decide if you want to add more sessions for support as you move through your plan. 

 

 I will provide you with:

​

  • A Workbook - keep your plan organized.

  • Personalised Food Plans - simple recipes for success.

  • Short, Efficient Workouts-  max for the minimum!

  • Stress Reduction Exercises - just 5-15 mins. a day

  • Meditation Exercises -for peace of mind & longevity

 

You will implement this plan with my support and encouragement.  Through shifting what you are eating, moving your body more and getting conscious about the stress triggers in your life, slow steady change can happen.

 

If we live near each other we might go for a walk, do a kitchen clean out, or expand on your recipes.

 

If you need someone to help you learn how to navigate your local grocery store or help you cook a few simple meals we can do that too.
